With plans to open 17 new locations in 2021, 35 in 2022, and 50 more in 2023, hoots has aggressive growth plans – but it also has the leadership team to turn these goals into a reality.
In the article, Melilli says that now is an exciting time to open new locations, and recently celebrated the opening of three new hoots restaurants.
“Right now, there is a growing demand for chicken wings, and it is as good an opportunity as any to expand and open franchises,” Melilli told FastCasual. “Like the entire sector, when the world shut down, we felt that pressure on sales. However, hoots came back very quickly and robustly because of the very model of the concept.”
By focusing on off-premise eating and mobile delivery, Melilli told the magazine that hoots was able to recover far quicker than any other restaurant concept during the crisis.
“Based on the nature of the model and the demand for our product mix through delivery, we came back faster than most restaurant concepts,” Melilli said in the article.
Although hoots is a fairly new brand, their business model and leadership team are anything but. Today, they operate seven locations with the help of HOA Brands, which has over 35 years of experience in helping franchise owners thrive in the restaurant business.
